Paula DeSaulnier opened DeSaulnier Law, in May, 1985.

The focus of the firm is exclusively on family law.

Paula’s legal career began after she graduated from college when she was invited to join the State of Rhode lsland’s task force to address child abuse and neglect.  Paula was a member of the Rhode Island Court Appointed Special Advocate program which was the first program of its kind in the United States.

Paula graduated from Vermont Law School and clerked for the Attorney General’s Office prosecuting fraud.

Paula is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Rockingham County Bar Association.

Paula has appeared before the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and all Family Division Courts in Rockingham, Hillsborough, Strafford and Carroll Counties.

Paula has taught paralegal courses at colleges in New Hampshire, and authored legal articles for newspapers and journals.  She has taught advanced family law seminars for New Hampshire continuing education courses for family law attorneys.

Paula has served as a Guardian ad Litem and Marital Mediator in the Family Division courts.

Paula’s involvement in her community over the years has extended to serving as legal counsel for several non-profit organizations in New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
